The working principle of a magnetic mount antenna is the same as that of a regular antenna, primarily based on the theories of electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic wave propagation. The specific principles during signal transmission and reception are as follows:
1) Transmission Principle: When transmitting a signal, high-frequency current from the signal source is fed into the radiating element of the magnetic mount antenna. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the varying current generates a changing magnetic field around the antenna, which in turn creates a changing electric field. This process forms an alternating electromagnetic field, also known as electromagnetic waves. These waves radiate outward from the antenna, enabling signal transmission. For example, in a vehicle-mounted radio system, the radio converts voice or other signals into high-frequency current, which is then transmitted to the antenna’s radiating element via a feeder cable. The antenna then radiates electromagnetic waves, sending out the signal.
2) Reception Principle: When electromagnetic waves in the surrounding space reach the magnetic mount antenna, the electric field of the waves induces directional movement of electrons within the antenna’s radiating element, generating high-frequency current. This current is transmitted through the feeder cable to the receiving device, where it is processed and demodulated to restore the original signal, such as audio, images, or data. For example, in a car radio system, the magnetic mount antenna receives electromagnetic waves broadcast by radio stations, converts them into high-frequency current, and transmits the signal to the radio. The radio processes the signal, allowing the user to listen to broadcast programs.
