From May 20, 2024 to May 25, 2024, Kinghelm (www.kinghelm.net)/Slkor (www.slkoric.com) held a colleague evaluation for the "Weekly Star" award. This week's "Weekly Star" is Liu Lifen, a research and development assistant in the R&D department of Kinghelm. In recent work, she has been proactive, responsible and meticulous in her work, effectively handling design, research and development, laboratory testing, and communication and coordination, all with the goal of achieving company performance. She can independently complete basic research and development tasks such as data analysis and experimental design. Moreover, she exhibits a rapid learning ability, keeping pace with advancements in antenna and connector technologies and swiftly applying them to her work.

Despite her role as a research and development assistant, Liu Lifen excels in problem analysis, identifying root causes, and proposing effective solutions, earning recognition and trust from departmental leaders. She also demonstrates excellent teamwork spirit, respecting others' opinions, willingly sharing knowledge and experience, and collectively advancing the progress of design, research, and testing projects.

Therefore, GPS terminal antennas can only solve the question of "where am I," without the ability to send messages. The advantage is that there are no limitations on capacity or concurrent users. On the other hand, Beidou satellites have the capability of both transmitting and receiving signals. Beidou's unique short message feature combines positioning and communication functions. It not only solves the problem of positioning but also provides information about the location of others or terminals. Beidou terminal devices have both receiving and transmitting capabilities. Positioning requires signal transmission and subsequent calculation, and the position can be shared with others nearby. Therefore, Beidou antennas can be designed as dual-mode, with both Beidou positioning and GSM communication functions.
