The vibration rating refers to a connector’s ability to remain secure, maintain continuity, and avoid failure under vibration conditions. It is mainly evaluated using three parameters:
- Frequency range
Typically: 10–2000 Hz, covering common vibration environments in automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications. - Acceleration
Unit: m/s² or g- Consumer applications: a few g to 10 g
- Automotive / industrial: 10 g to 20 g
- Aerospace: higher levels
- Vibration type
- Sine vibration (fixed frequency or sweep frequency)
- Random vibration (closer to real-world operating conditions)
