Why Can a High Magnetic Flux in a Ferrite Rod Shorten Antenna Length?
In receivers, ferrite rod antennas are commonly used to greatly reduce the size of medium-wave antennas. By taking advantage of the high magnetic flux of the ferrite rod to couple with the antenna coil, the effective electrical length of the antenna can be significantly shortened. Additionally, a frequency-matching circuit is designed at the output of the antenna, allowing the overall antenna size to be reduced to a practically acceptable dimension.
